Star Wars fans, rejoice! Google has done it again. In a creative marketing move, Google has created something that everyone who loves Star Wars will rush to download on their desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones: a total transformation of ordinary apps  into ultra-cool Star Wars programmes.

With the click of a mouse (or tap of a finger,) you’ll be able to make one of the most important choices of your life: to join the light or dark side. Sign in with your Google account and enjoy everything that comes with it:

• Your Gmail account will be so much more exciting with the new loading bar, depicting a light saber (red or blue depending on which side you chose),

• You’ll get a brand new background for your Gmail platform (of COURSE you’ll see Star Wars wallpapers),

• If you use Chrome, you’ll get exciting new themes with a new greeting image every time you open your browser

• The icon of the car in Maps will be pimped out totally – once you’ve downloaded the extension, you’ll be able to navigate with an X-wing or a TIE Fighter

• Pegman in Maps will become a Stormtrooper or Resistance Pilot

• On Youtube, your loading bar, search box and volume controls will change

• Google Calendar will add important dates regarding the release of Star Wars Episode VII.
